At UK Loft Rooms, we can build loft conversions in a number of different styles. When we view your loft, we can advise on which design is right for your home. This will depend on various factors, including property size, the space available, and your budget.

DORMER
A dormer loft conversion will extend from the existing sloping roof creating more useable space and headroom. This can turn a cramped loft into a larger, airy room, with the new dormer windows or doors offering more natural light. Flat roof dormers are very popular in the UK. Not only do they achieve more space and natural light, they are always one of the most cost effective options when converting your loft.

REAR L SHAPE DORMER
A Rear L Shape dormer loft conversion is an extension of the dormer conversion adding an extra room at the rear of the property. Typically designed for a terraced property, where the home owner is looking to achieve two bedrooms and a shower room

PITCHED ROOF DORMER
Pitched Roof Dormer conversions create lots of extra space providing the existing roof pitch is high enough to create this type of conversion, This a popular option as it is often considered more aesthetically pleasing whilst still creating a light and airy space.

HIP TO GABLE
A hip to gable loft conversion is a common option for semi-detached or detached properties. The sloped sides of the roof are extended outwards forming a gable wall (vertical wall) creating maximum space. Hip to gable conversions are usually constructed using timber but can also be constructed using brick work if required.

MANSARD
A Mansard loft conversion can be built to the rear and front of a property altering the design of the roof from a slope to a near vertical wall, pitched at 72 degrees. This type of conversion usually requires more work than other styles due to the level of construction required to form the brick work sides of the Mansard. This type of conversion is usually suited to older terraced type properties and generates a lot of extra space and light.

VELUX
Velux loft conversions are often quick and cost effective solution in creating extra space. The existing roof remains intact and velux windows are installed into the pitch of the roof. This allow lots of natural light into the room and creates a light and airy space.
